RUMBApython

RUMBA-Python

This is a set of python bindings for the rumba software. The purpose of this is to make the developers libraries more accesible. The authors observation is that there are few in the neuro-imaging community who have the time, or patience, to learn to become C++ programmers, and even those who have such skills are often better served by tools that are more liberal in their use of CPU cycles and conservative in their use of developer time. So far, this has proved reasonable succesful, as while the number of people writing C++ code for RUMBA remains very low, there are more users who are benefiting from the python bindings.

Status

mature, but still under development. It is recommended that users subscribe to a developers mailing list -- contact elflord@psychology.rutgers.edu for details.
